Reviews - From the Volcano
I live in the small village of Otavalo in Ecuador high up in the Andes Mountains. I work with the native Quechua women to help sell there goods during market day every Saturday. In an effort to better widen their customer base and help bring in much needed funds to their families I've brought their handmade blankets online.
SIZE
Measurements of the blankets are 234 cm (92 in) by 173 cm (68 in). Large enough to cover a bed.
MATERIAL
The blankets are all handmade and consist of a 70% Alpaca Fleece and 30% Sheep Wool mixture. The mixture is necessary in making the blankets repel water and add much needed strength to the blanket and a bit of elasticity. The women then stitch the ends perimeter of each blanket to keep from unraveling after years of use.
FEATURES
These blankets are so soft! They feel absolutely luxurious against your skin!!! They are also light weight yet will keep you super warm. A great travel blanket! Water, stain and fire resistant! Super strong and beautiful!
CARE
We hand wash all our laundry and I know this leads to excellent results. I have heard great results from our customers in larger cities that say machine wash cold on the gentle cycle.
COLORS
We have many many colors! Almost every color of the rainbow. These colors are gotten from dying the threads in different natural dyes. We also have natural colors that are 100% undyed fibers from the animals. Be sure to pick your color and pattern on the side bar.
SHIPPING
We will ship anywhere, just give us your country and postal code and we'll figure out a price!
Disclaimer
The blanket you get will not be the exact one pictured above but as close as possible. Colors may be different than your monitor is producing, but almost always more vibrant! We do not except returns or refunds (unless there is something wrong with the blanket, damages or the off chance we sent one different than ordered). We will however make your purchasing experience as happy as possible!!!
No harm is brought to the alpacas or sheep!!!
